My name is Michael Staunton, I lost my best friend and beautiful wife Corina to Cancer on 23/3/23. Corina's diagnosis of incurable cancer, only a few weeks before the 7th of February, was a massive shock to us. Corina was only 51, we had so many plans, so many things to look forward to. Cancer cruelly robbed us of that time.
I am raising funds in Corina's name, for The Cancer Clinical Research Trust Ltd.
The Cancer Clinical Research Trust Ltd (CCRT) is dedicated to reducing the burden of cancer suffering by developing improved treatment for cancer patients. The funds raised here will be donated to CCRT for direct research into various incurable cancers like Corinas'.

A 4-Ball Scramble takes place between 7 am-3.30 pm. You can register a Team of 4 players for 300€ (includes Golf and food afterwards).

whom will we support
The Cancer Clinical Research Trust Ltd is a registered charity which supports a cancer research program which is based throughout many leading institutions in Dublin. The primary focus of our work is “translational research”, that is research which spans the laboratory and the clinic. Prior to the translational era of cancer research, there was a division between medical researchers who investigated new treatments in patients, and cancer scientists, whose work sometimes seemed to have limited relevance to the real world of cancer sufferers.

what we achieved
in 2023
The Corina Staunton Foundation is dedicated to fighting Cancer through research and that is why we have chosen CCRT as our beneficiary because they use every penny for research, “nothing else “.
The “Corina Staunton Come Together for Cancer Research Foundation” or as we call it “Corina’s weekend“, raised €35,000 for CCRT last year as you can see in the picture.
Honestly, we hoped that we raise 5-10K, but we’ve been overwhelmed by the support we received from the Kilcullen community and businesses, the Dublin people and so many other companies and people around the country.
